Target Customer - Identify & Deliver Appealing Content

Target customer is the visitor of your website, or paid ads campaign which you’re trying to attract, and lead to your most wanted response.

Your target customer is the person you've identified as most likely to purchase your products, all your marketing efforts are aiming to this direction, in order to achieve your strategic goal.

But in the first place, you must ensure to targeting the right audience, or else you will disappoint that your visitors are not response in the way you expect.



Target Audiences

In marketing and advertising, it is a specific group of people within the target market at which your product or the marketing message of your product is aimed.

Your target audience can be formed of people of a certain age group, gender, marital status, and etc., e.g. teenagers, females, single people, or a specific group such as men aged 30 – 40 are common target audience.

And as for other groups, although not the main focus, may also be interested. Discovering the appropriate target market and determining the target audience is one of the most important activities in affiliate marketing.  

You know, it may be the biggest mistake to make in targeting is trying to reach everybody, and thus ending up appealing to no-one.



Target Marketing

This is a strategy to market to a specific audience effectively, it is essential to become familiar with your target market; their habits, behaviors, likes, and dislikes.

Markets differ in size, assortment, geographic scale, locality, types of communities, and in the different types of merchandise sold.

You see, because of the many variations included in a market, it is essential to know exactly who you are marketing to, since you cannot accommodate everyone’s preferences.

Your marketing plan should cover both targets – the market and customer. The broader you reach in your marketing efforts, the more likely that you'll draw enough potential customers to your products or services.



Know Your Target Customer

After you’ve identified your target audiences, the next step is to “know your customer”.

This is always the hardest task to undertake, since you have to carry out a lot of researches to get fully understand your target customers.

You’ll have to find out some necessary information about your target customers, such as which groups and communities, the average age group, interest, average income, beliefs, and etc.

But the foremost is to determine the key elements and factors which evoke, and lead your customer to take action quickly.

And your crucial step is to deliver an irresistible offer to propel your customer to accept and make the decision.



Accumulate Information

You may try to research and gather some information over these activities:

Forums – You can gather useful information in related forums to determine what type of problems, likes and dislikes, and emotions about your product. Make sure to choose the right forum which match or closest to your product or service.

Blog Comments – Here you can acquire the actual responses and feelings about your niche and product.

Also remember to check the comments of your own site if applicable, find out any helpful information which inspire.

Product Reviews – You can try to look for the product reviews at Amazon and other e-commerce platforms.

These comments from consumers are invaluable, with this information, you can create more relevant and pinpoint content especially for your target customers.



Aim Your Target Customer

To aim for your right customer, first of all, you must have researched with plenty of valuable information for your niche and specific keywords. Secondly you should have determined which group of customers you’re targeting.

You will create a series of content with relevant keywords for this group, and carry out necessary marketing to attract your target customers.

At the same time, you should provide solutions, the monetization models, as to solve their problems, to improve their living standard, to make more money, and to achieve a win win situation.

After you’ve completed this series of content to certain level, you will then focus to the next group of target customers, and so on…



Deliver the Right Information

This is the time you will use the right keywords to create content to deliver specific information for your target customers.

By carry out the right content strategy, select the keywords carefully for your specific target group of customers to deliver valuable information to draw attention, and most important is to solve the problems by providing suitable solution (monetization model).

In this way, you’re preselling effectively and lead your target customers to your most wanted response, and towards your goal.



Keyword Research & Content

Before you can start writing your content, you should have completed keyword researched and reserved sufficient keywords, for you to determine which keywords should use to engage your customers.

In order to achieve your goal, you have to create lots of content, with different topics, and different angles of approach to attract target customers, and lead all the way to your strategic goal.

At this stage, your keywords reservation is extremely important. With sufficient keywords (reserve), you can create multiple content which fully cover necessary topics for your target customers, and step by step to reach your goals.


Identify your target customers and deliver the right content, is the most effective way to operate your online business successfully, do it properly right from the beginning to get on the right track.
